Aerogel – composite panels

Composites with core layers from aerogel or a combination of aerogels and XPS rigid foams make very thin panels possible. Compared to vacuum panels, this permits the production of cut-outs(door panels) and penetrations (fin connections etc.). A panel thickness of only 34mm makes a U-value of less than 0.43 W/(m2∙K) possible.
